Skiing at Mt Assiniboine

I am a big fan of cross country skiing and it is easy to see why from this 9 min video from Canadian ski team camp at Mt Assiniboine.

Adventure skating (skating on frozen crust in spring) is the best sort of backcountry adventure. The site in the video is near Mt Assiniboine Lodge and only accessible by helicopter, hiking or skiing.
